New celebrity “thing” Mandy Moore and John Mayer? They were spotted together. Both on the rebound after Zach Braff (bitter break-up) and Jessica Simpson. I think they are a laid-back, music loving match.
The “Chocolate Rain” singer was spotted out in SoHo yesterday having lunch with Mandy Moore, who was in town for the premiere of her new movie, “Dedication.”
The frumpy pair (is that a potato sack she has on?) would make sense as a couple — she likes funny guys with good musical taste (Zach Braff) and he likes women.

The Wackness: IMDB: “Story, set in 1994, centers on a troubled teenage drug dealer and a drug-addled psychiatrist — after the former trades pot for therapy sessions, then falls for the doctor’s daughter.”
On the movie:
Ben Kingsley, Josh Peck, Famke Janssen, Mary-Kate Olsen, Olivia Thirlby and Method Man are taking a whack at the indie comedy “The Wackness.”
Occupant Films is producing and financing the comedy, which was penned by Jonathan Levine, who also will direct. Occupant’s Keith Calder, Felipe Marino and Joe Neurauter are producing.
Set in New York in summer 1994, the greatest year in hip-hop, the story revolves around a troubled teenage drug dealer (Peck) who trades pot for therapy sessions with a drug-addled psychiatrist (Kingsley) intent on living his life to the fullest. The two form an unlikely friendship, but things get complicated when the kid falls for the doctor’s daughter (Thirlby). The film is shooting in New York.
The film reteams Occupant and Levine, who made his directorial debut with Occupant’s “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane,” a Toronto Film Festival darling, which is set to bow early next year2008.
Kingsley’s credits include “House of Sand and Fog,” “Sexy Beast,” “Schindler’s List” and “Gandhi.”
Peck is half of Nickelodeon’s tween sensation “Drake and Josh,” which has spawned a movie project in development at Nickelodeon/Paramount Pictures. He most recently filmed the Owen Wilson starrer “Drillbit Taylor” for Paramount Pictures.
Janssen is best known for her role as Jean Grey in the “X-Men” film franchise. She also starred in “Hide and Seek” and “Don’t Say a Word.”
Olsen most recently starred in “New York Minute.”
Thirlby, whose credits include “United 93,” will next be seen in “Juno,” “Snow Angels” and “Margaret.”
Method Mad’s film credits include “Garden State” and “Gone in 60 Seconds.”
Kingsley and Janssen are repped by CAA. Peck is repped by ICM. Levine and Olsen are handled by UTA. Thirlby is repped by the Gersh Agency.

Mena Suvari star of American Beauty and American Pie shaved her head completely. A Britney Spears fan? Maybe. But I think she looks good either way. 
The reason why she shaved her beautiful head of hair off is still in question.
“American Beauty” actress Mena Suvari showed up with her head shaved during a recent lunch with friends at the Newsroom Café in Beverly Hills, according to several celebrity gossip sites and photos.
Gone were the long, blond locks that Suvari, now 28, tossed around in her role as a temptress cheerleader in the film.
The actress wore the new ‘do with oversized dark sunglasses, a camouflage hooded jacked and jeans.
In February, amid rumors that she had checked into rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, Spears impulsively went into a hair salon, had all her hair shaved off and emerged completely bald.
Britney hits a parked car August 7, 2007
Okay people, Britney hit a parked car. But seriously, could you imagine even driving with all of these paparazzi around your car. Constant flashes and constant yelling, ew. I couldn’t imagine. Although Brit hit a car, she did NOT drink and drive and she was NOT caught with coke. Hello.
With all that’s been happening with our girl Brit recently – the Vegas incident, problems with the paps – this is the last thing she needs! X17 is bringing you the details first… Ms. Spears (and her pup) was driving to a pharmacy in the Valley today – the pop singer was picking up vitamins – when, while pulling into a space, she hit a parked car. Just a minor fender bender (only some paint was scratched, as you can see in the second pic), but Brit was driving her black Mercedes convertible. Hope she has insurance!
Neither Sean Preston or Jayden James were in the car at the time, and everyone else is thankfully all okay. Hey, at least this is nowhere near as bad as Lindsay’s car troubles!

Suri is the cutest little girl (whether or not you believe she is actually Toms kid). I have grown to love Katie’s short due and Suri’s cuteness. But Tom will remain crazy to me.
Actors Tom Cruise, 45, and Katie Holmes, 28, attempt to corral their daughter Suri, 15 months, who had been running ahead, as they visit a Berlin bakery over the weekend in Germany. Once inside, spitfire Suri grabbed chocolates out of Tom’s hands, making him laugh.

Looks like those days on “Pants Off Dance Off” really paid off for Jodie Sweetin — who was spotted giving a little lap dance at Area last night.
The lucky guy was Sweetin’s tatted-up new hubby, 30-year-old Cody Herpin, who looked pretty cozy as the former “Full Houser” sat on top of him.
One thing Herpin probably wasn’t thinking: How rude!
